Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustafa Hakan Tosunoğlu in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 84th minute of the game Amadeo Gonsalvo made a throw-in which Grisha Mbappè played forward. Robertas Sabaitis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grisha Mbappè, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 88 minutes into the game, Amadeo Gonsalvo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Absoliut's Agnius Pocius quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Mustafa Hakan Tosunoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of Randers A.F.C. were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Absoliut side.
