Nichlas Vesterdahl came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Nouvelle Vague's Casimiro Ugutz. But to his dismay, Casimiro Ugutz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vicky Donda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Rostholm in the 17th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Nouvelle Vague defense, Rene Rostholm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vicky Donda. The Nouvelle Vague fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vicky Donda should have stopped the shot. If Casimiro Ugutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Ugutz in the 21st minute of play forced Randers A.F.C.'s goalkeeper Nichlas Vesterdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Andreas Maxsø in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Nouvelle Vague's Juninho Juni. Casimiro Ugutz might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nichlas Vesterdahl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Casimiro Ugutz ran back to his position shaking his head. Nichlas Vesterdahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casimiro Ugutz in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Shelby in the 27th minute of play forced Nouvelle Vague's goalkeeper Vicky Donda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Casimiro Ugutz in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nichlas Vesterdahl saved Randers A.F.C. from getting behind. In the 30th minute, Juninho Juni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Nouvelle Vague's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Rostholm came free, but Vicky Donda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicky Donda had great luck who in the 35thth minute grab hold of the ball when Rene Rostholm from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 42nd match minute, Randers A.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Grönlund to maneuver through the defense. Delmiro Emeterio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute Rene Rostholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicky Donda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rene Rostholm was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Juninho Juni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichlas Vesterdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Rostholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nouvelle Vague made a substitution. Osmar Vale replaced Vito Genovese. Casimiro Ugutz came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nichlas Vesterdahl could save by the left post. Nouvelle Vague's Anselmo Dracena was substituted for Juninho Juni. Nouvelle Vague's Luis Henrico was substituted for Casimiro Ugutz. 73 minutes into the match, Nouvelle Vague's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Rostholm came free, but Vicky Donda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl got control of the ball when Luis Henrico tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Randers A.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Maxsø to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Henrico got free with Nichlas Vesterdahl in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Nouvelle Vague getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Folke Billberg hit a great ball.
