In the 3rd minute Éric Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remus Pinches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomás Vollmar in the 6th minute of play forced Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Hellkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Thomás Vollmar, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 6 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Sebastian Hellkvist was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Jakub Ziombkowski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Remus Pinches when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Éric Cantona's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Remus Pinches firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Éric Cantona got free with Remus Pinches in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diablos Rojos's Remus Pinches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakub Ziombkowski in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Éric Cantona in the 19th minute of play forced Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Remus Pinches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Hellkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose-Antonio Capon, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Diablos Rojos's Thomás Vollmar in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Diablos Rojos's Remus Pinches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateusz Giertych in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thomás Vollmar came free, but Sebastian Hellkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute 唐沙旭 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes Diablos Rojos got a freekick which was hit by Jerome Boateng. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Inter de Guayaquil FC made a substitution. Jörn Svartengren replaced Jakub Ziombkowski. Remus Pinches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saffet Ataergin, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 59th minute, Jörn Svartengren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de Guayaquil FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The throw-in from Xu Guang Peng in the 62nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Inter de Guayaquil FC's Celso Inguma. Jose-Antonio Capon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diablos Rojos's Xuan Casillas was substituted for Xu Guang Peng. Thanks to some nice moves Jose-Antonio Capon could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Sebastian Hellkvist however easily saved by the left post. Carlos-Henrique Cabezudo hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Jörn Svartengren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Remus Pinches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Diablos Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Jörn Svartengren came free, but Remus Pinches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Jörn Svartengren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remus Pinches was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 80th minute 唐沙旭 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Hellkvist made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when 唐沙旭 sent off a good shot on target. Remus Pinches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Acutain, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Sebastian Hellkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 唐沙旭 in the 95th minute of play. Inter de Guayaquil FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
