In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Hellkvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Usain Bolt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Constantin Potocianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakub Ziombkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, Mapovihesa FC's Usain Bolt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Hellkvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 29 minutes into the match, Mapovihesa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Éric Cantona came free, but Constantin Potocianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jakub Ziombkowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Constantin Potocianu made a huge save. Constantin Potocianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Éric Cantona in the 36th minute of play. Celso Inguma hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Sebastian Hellkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Usain Bolt in the 38th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Jörn Svartengren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Constantin Potocianu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. After a defensive mix-up in Inter de Guayaquil FC's zone, Raimundo Erramu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Hellkvist came out of the goal and Raimundo Erramu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 96 minutes Inter de Guayaquil FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kálmán Pádár who took care of the corner kick. Mapovihesa FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
