Alin Niculiță hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Alessio Mao came free, but Sidney Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério da Silva in the 29th minute of play forced Kania Gostyń's goalkeeper Boruc Furgal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Kania Gostyń's Wiktor Falkiewicz got a free kick in the 31st minute. Boruc Furgal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathaniel Burnett, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The corner led Kania Gostyń's Severiano Oliverio to fire away a dangerous shot which Sidney Motta despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
