Spectators: 8500 (Terracing: 6376, Seating: 1955, VIP seats: 169) With a little luck, Olavarria FC's Michel Hendrickx got control of the ball when Manolo Bartumeu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ladislao Cordarius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manolo Bartumeu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Michel Hendrickx made a huge save. With his leg Michel Hendrickx managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Ágætis Byrjun's Manolo Bartumeu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Matas in the 30th minute of play forced Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Georg Hagberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Olavarria FC were awarded a corner. Mauro Kotlar went to the cornerflag to take it. Georg Hagberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Matas in the 34th minute of play. Isaias Matas kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Georg Hagberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Matas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th match minute, Ágætis Byrjun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitaliy Vorobey to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Joep Ponk made the kick off in the second half. If Manolo Bartumeu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Isaias Matas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georg Hagberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Georg Hagberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Matas in the 60th minute of play. Michel Hendrickx didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nick Heesen went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Ágætis Byrjun's Georg Hagberg got control of the ball when Catalino Rivarola tried to sneak it across the goal line. Michel Hendrickx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Bartumeu in the 72nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manolo Bartumeu in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michel Hendrickx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute, Olavarria FC's Ervigio Ojeda ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Georg Hagberg. Georg Hagberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Ágætis Byrjun's Ben Steyns was substituted for Vitaliy Vorobey. In the 86th play minute Robby Van Steen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Georg Hagberg. 1-3. In the 94th minute, Joep Ponk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ágætis Byrjun fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Olavarria FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
