Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxi Gambetta in the 18th minute of play. Falcão Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yasin Yerel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Altay Bayındır made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Saldanha in the 25th minute of play. Altay Bayındır made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Jago Štriker sent off a good shot on target. Falcão Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bahri Paker, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yasin Yerel was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha got control of the ball when Yasin Yerel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hugo de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Altay Bayındır having to interfere. After having played for 89 minutes, Nilton Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gracie Barra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilton Botelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Altay Bayındır showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilton Botelho in the 91st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilton Botelho in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Altay Bayındır prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
