If Jago Štriker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ágætis Byrjun's Georg Hagberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Velloso in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute Augusto Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Hagberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Falcão Cunha didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 41st minute, which inside left pole to 4-0. 48 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Saldanha came free, but Georg Hagberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jago Štriker made a kick off.
