Rene Vereijt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Karol Panasewicz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's Karol Panasewicz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rene Vereijt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Robin Sharma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamza Yavaş in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute Karol Panasewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blue Mountain State's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Afşar Uçuk in the 47th minute. A nice corner shot did that Afşar Uçuk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rene Vereijt quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Karol Panasewicz scored 4-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rene Vereijt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rene Vereijt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aykut Aşkın, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Karol Panasewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rene Vereijt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Panasewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robin Sharma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdulla Baia in the 67th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goal looked a bit too open when Jedrzej Kiszkiel came free, but Robin Sharma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
