The audience was convinced that Jorrin Briones's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonatan Eguzki was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Rapsodas Red Devils FC's Leonardo Colmenares quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Máximo Kirchner, made in the 10th minute of the game. Jonatan Eguzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorrin Briones in the 13th minute of play. Unidad de Matanza's Jonatan Eguzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorrin Briones in the 15th minute of play. Unidad de Matanza's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Martin Grøtterud in the 19th minute. Martin Grøtterud made a great header on Unidad de Matanza's corner, it was just that Rapsodas Red Devils FC's Ferenc Tököli managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorrin Briones in the 22nd minute of play forced Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Jonatan Eguzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Rapsodas Red Devils FC's goalkeeper Ferenc Tököli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Grøtterud. In the 47th minute, Michael Callaerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michal Stehno was the one to do the kick off. After 63 played minutes Unidad de Matanza got a freekick which was hit by Máximo Kirchner. Rapsodas Red Devils FC made a substitution. Jerrold Taranco replaced Luís Paulo da Fonseca. The Rapsodas Red Devils FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferenc Tököli should have stopped the shot. Jonatan Eguzki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerrold Taranco in the 88th minute. With a little luck, Unidad de Matanza's Jonatan Eguzki got control of the ball when Jerrold Taranco tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Unidad de Matanza had won after a very even match.
