In the 5th minute of the match Real Södertälje got a corner. Olimpia HSB's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reynaldo Cerezo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ralf Björk made a great header on Real Södertälje's corner, it was just that Olimpia HSB's Tolek Kiszkiel managed to reach the ball for a save. After 6 minutes, Ralf Björk made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Olimpia HSB's Tolek Kiszkiel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A throw-in in the 9th minute of the game was made by Calito Izquierdoz with Fabian Czeszejko as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Real Södertälje's Markus Svensson got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tolek Kiszkiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Svensson in the 23rd minute of play. Tolek Kiszkiel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Markus Svensson's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Olimpia HSB's Wilfredo Vellito got a free kick in the 25th minute. Jack Glanselius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Czeszejko, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 36th match minute, Real Södertälje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Björk to maneuver through the defense. Jack Glanselius came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko. But to his dismay, Fabian Czeszejko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 43 minutes of play, Real Södertälje's Markus Svensson made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tolek Kiszkiel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 45 played minutes Real Södertälje got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Björk. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Markus Svensson was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Real Södertälje got a freekick which was hit by Conny Komen. In the 52nd minute Fabian Czeszejko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Glanselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nikola Mirotić came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Olimpia HSB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikola Mirotić couldn't finish the play. Birger Hedberg hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Real Södertälje's Nils-Åke Wickander was substituted for Markus Svensson. Jack Glanselius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Morientes, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 范常辰 charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed 范常辰 the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Olimpia HSB's Jacek Pietrowiak was substituted for Fabian Czeszejko. 75 minutes into the game, one of Real Södertälje:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jacek Pietrowiak scored 2-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jack Glanselius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jacek Pietrowiak took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jack Glanselius. Jack Glanselius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Jack Glanselius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacek Pietrowiak's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. When Olimpia HSB's Jacek Pietrowiak, in the 95th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Olimpia HSB. Real Södertälje's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
