The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wilfredo Vellito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maximino Ticho. A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Maximino Ticho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Walczak in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, A.C. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Czeszejko came free, but Maximino Ticho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.C. Patagonia's Maximino Ticho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Czeszejko in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute Artur Walczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Ticho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A.C. Patagonia's Maximino Ticho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Walczak in the 15th minute of play. The throw-in from Bel Panino in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Olimpia HSB's Wilfredo Vellito. The long shot by Fernando Morientes in the 22nd minute really tested Maximino Ticho's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 24 minutes into the match, Olimpia HSB's goal looked a bit too open when Dariusz Wos came free, but Tolek Kiszkiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Dariusz Wos sped through Olimpia HSB's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tolek Kiszkiel. A collision led to Olimpia HSB getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Wilfredo Vellito hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dariusz Wos in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tolek Kiszkiel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Tolek Kiszkiel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcin Cebula in the 43rd minute of play forced Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Tolek Kiszkiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabian Czeszejko made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, A.C. Patagonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szymon Jaszyna to maneuver through the defense. A.C. Patagonia made a substitution. Sylwester Sroka replaced Ludwig Wassenius. When A.C. Tolek Kiszkiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horea Boian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Olimpia HSB's Tolek Kiszkiel got control of the ball when Rui Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olimpia HSB made a substitution. Jacek Pietrowiak replaced Fabian Czeszejko. Tolek Kiszkiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horea Boian in the 82nd minute of play. Jacek Pietrowiak took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Ticho. Maximino Ticho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 87 minutes into the match, A.C. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Nikola Mirotić came free, but Maximino Ticho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Jacek Pietrowiak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximino Ticho. A.C. Patagonia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacek Pietrowiak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. A.C. Patagonia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
