Ekskluzywni menele's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paolo-César Maldini in the 48th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wang Hong Le to make the kick off. Capibaribe Stars's Thomás Toscano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Raphael Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Capibaribe Stars's Zbigniew Brudzisz threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henry Costa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zbigniew Brudzisz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robinho Urbano in the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pan Zhi Peng to maneuver through the defense. Ekskluzywni menele's Zenon Ogrodowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
