In the 3rd minute Fernando Amorebieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Turgut Soyuer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PREZULO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jarbas Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erling Lewandowski in the 12th minute of play. PREZULO FC's Jarbas Quadros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save PREZULO FC from getting a goal against them. Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turgut Soyuer in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute Cássio Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Scarafia Ghost didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Turgut Soyuer went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Go Ahead Eagles made a substitution. Manga Mangkudikusumah replaced Iakovos Efthimiadis. In the 29thth minute of the game Turgut Soyuer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Scarafia Ghost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Jarbas Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erling Lewandowski in the 35th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, PREZULO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erling Lewandowski came free, but Jarbas Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dani Carbajal lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Turgut Soyuer shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Turgut Soyuer in the 46th minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Scarafia Ghost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Erling Lewandowski made the kick off in the second half. Scarafia Ghost made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isaac Ferreira in the 52nd minute. Isaac Ferreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Scarafia Ghost made a huge save. 58 minutes into the game, Isaac Ferreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Scarafia Ghost was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Go Ahead Eagles's Panos Kaklamanos was substituted for Panos Karagoutis. The corner ended in Isaac Ferreira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost did a great save. When Panos Kaklamanos fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Go Ahead Eagles's protests and gave Panos Kaklamanos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Panos Kaklamanos hit a great ball. Jarbas Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Gonçalves in the 76th minute of the match. PREZULO FC's Jarbas Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Gonçalves in the 79th minute of play. Jarbas Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Amorebieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarbas Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Amorebieta in the 87th minute of play. After 90 played minutes Go Ahead Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Gonçalves. Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Go Ahead Eagles from getting a goal against them. Fernando Amorebieta scored 1-3 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jarbas Quadros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, PREZULO FC's Franz Beckenbauer got a free kick in the 95th minute. The PREZULO FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing PREZULO FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
