Cássio Gonçalves ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Sebastian Käller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Scarafia Ghost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Käller, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With an all-out effort, Kind of Blue's Scarafia Ghost threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sebastian Käller, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 36 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Käller came free, but Scarafia Ghost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilhelm Galle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Amorebieta in the 39th minute of play. Ardahan Erginer hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 46thth minute of the game Erling Lewandowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kind of Blue's Wilhelm Galle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Käller was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Wilhelm Galle successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 61st minute Go Ahead Eagles were awarded a corner. Cássio Gonçalves went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Cássio Gonçalves almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kind of Blue's Wilhelm Galle did a great save. The supporters of Kind of Blue booed when Go Ahead Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Merih Yesari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Käller scored 2-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Scarafia Ghost, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th minute, Sebastian Käller made a precise shot to the right of Scarafia Ghost. Go Ahead Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. A sloppy throw-in by Merih Yesari in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Kind of Blue's Epifanio Aznar. After having played for 83 minutes, Iustin Bâru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Go Ahead Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iustin Bâru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85thth minute of the game Sebastian Käller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 86th minute, Iustin Bâru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Scarafia Ghost came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Kind of Blue's Sebastian Käller. But to his dismay, Sebastian Käller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1.
