Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Albérico Bernardes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s attentive Berkan Tufan managed to snatch the ball when Hristiyan Lalov made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. Nicasio Abad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Lewandowski in the 19th minute of play. With a little luck, VN Ultra Spartak's Albérico Bernardes got control of the ball when Pietro Salles tried to sneak it across the goal line. The throw-in from Berkan Tufan in the 25th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by VN Ultra Spartak's Hristiyan Lalov. If Cristiano Lewandowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pietro Salles in the 40th minute of play forced VN Ultra Spartak's goalkeeper Albérico Bernardes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalkeeper Nicasio Abad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 44 minutes Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Igor Szpakowski who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Igor Szpakowski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nicasio Abad quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 46 minutes, Antonio Alzamendi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ and the VN Ultra Spartak players grew even worse after the yellow card. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When Hamílton Tinoco fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VN Ultra Spartak's protests and gave Hamílton Tinoco a yellow card for diving instead. Pietro Salles might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albérico Bernardes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pietro Salles ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in VN Ultra Spartak's zone, Ahmet Demircioğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albérico Bernardes came out of the goal and Ahmet Demircioğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s William Lebigot was substituted for Antonio Alzamendi. In the 69th minute, Peter Blomkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Lewandowski got free with Nicasio Abad in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristiano Lewandowski struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Nicasio Abad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VN Ultra Spartak. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Cristiano Lewandowski put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nicasio Abad. After having played for 89 minutes, Peter Blomkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Blomkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Nicasio Abad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the VN Ultra Spartak players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
