Toma Lechev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clayton Gerada having to make a save. Clayton Gerada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toma Lechev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hlonda Boyz's Maciej Wietrzychowski quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Michael Cassar Overend, made in the 31st minute of the game. 35 minutes into the game, Hlonda Boyz's Toma Lechev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clayton Gerada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 38thth minute of the game Toma Lechev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Toma Lechev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clayton Gerada was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After 39 minutes, Toma Lechev made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Toma Lechev had several of the Seraċini Għawdxin's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 45 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-1 score and a disappointed Clayton Gerada as he didn't even see the shot coming. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The supporters of Seraċini Għawdxin booed when Hlonda Boyz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Mañon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hlonda Boyz's Borys Tomaka in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hlonda Boyz made a substitution. Roman Penczkowski replaced Marcelo Diniz. Hlonda Boyz's attentive Maciej Wietrzychowski managed to snatch the ball when Michael Cassar Overend made a throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game. After 73 minutes of play, Hlonda Boyz's Borys Tomaka made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clayton Gerada was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Penczkowski in the 76th minute of play forced Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Clayton Gerada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Hlonda Boyz getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ludomir Tychy hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the match, Borys Tomaka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clayton Gerada. Seraċini Għawdxin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Borys Tomaka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-2. Joseph Bruno kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Borys Tomaka scored 9-2 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clayton Gerada, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 96 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goal looked a bit too open when Borys Tomaka came free, but Clayton Gerada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Hlonda Boyz were the better team. Hlonda Boyz's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
