The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Clayton Gerada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Lindstrøm in the 5th minute of play. Brendan Leblanc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew Miggiani in the 7th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Kingpins's goal looked a bit too open when Andrew Miggiani came free, but Brendan Leblanc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brendan Leblanc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew Miggiani in the 7th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Paul Montebello got a free kick in the 8th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Rickard Lundgren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Clayton Gerada. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Clayton Gerada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Lundgren in the 12th minute of the match. Clayton Gerada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rickard Lundgren in the 17th minute. In the 20thth minute of the game Rickard Lundgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Clayton Gerada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guo Ke Peng's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. If Paul Montebello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 played minutes Kingpins got a freekick which was hit by Henning Strömqvist. 27 minutes into the game, Rickard Lundgren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Clayton Gerada. Rickard Lundgren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Clayton Gerada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Lundgren in the 30th minute of the match. Clayton Gerada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rickard Lundgren in the 40th minute. Rickard Lundgren's late challenge caught a Seraċini Għawdxin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rickard Lundgren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, Kingpins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rickard Lundgren to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrew Miggiani to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes, Kingpins's Karl Trulsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Clayton Gerada came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kingpins reached it. In the 55th minute Guo Ke Peng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clayton Gerada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Seraċini Għawdxin's zone, Guo Ke Peng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clayton Gerada came out of the goal and Guo Ke Peng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clayton Gerada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Lundgren in the 63rd minute of the match. Clayton Gerada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickard Lundgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rickard Lundgren in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clayton Gerada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kingpins's Brendan Leblanc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Kingpins from getting a goal against them. Clayton Gerada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Lundgren in the 75th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Seraċini Għawdxin's zone, Rickard Lundgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clayton Gerada came out of the goal and Rickard Lundgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute, Seraċini Għawdxin's Angelo Trigona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brendan Leblanc. Brendan Leblanc yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Bo Kruuse scored 4-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clayton Gerada, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bo Kruuse in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clayton Gerada saved Seraċini Għawdxin from getting behind. Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Kruuse in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Kingpins's Bo Kruuse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clayton Gerada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1.
