When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Patrick Chemjor put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Aureliano Abancens. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tipi Alarcon got free with Oginga Birir in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oginga Birir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andoni Antunez in the 16th minute of play. The corner led Peña Bufanda's Pacorro Mayol to fire away a dangerous shot which Oginga Birir despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 19th minute, Kevin Nduro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 played minutes Peña Bufanda got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Peña. Claudio March struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Oginga Birir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peña Bufanda. Oginga Birir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andoni Antunez in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andoni Antunez in the 25th minute of play forced sofapaka's goalkeeper Oginga Birir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Leizarraga Velazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, David Pinches notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Peña Bufanda's Aureliano Abancens. Aureliano Abancens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 36 minutes into the game, one of sofapaka:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Oginga Birir, was totally fooled by Peña Bufanda's Pacorro Mayol, who 39 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Oginga Birir didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Peña Bufanda's Andoni Antunez shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-3 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andoni Antunez in the 44th minute of play forced sofapaka's goalkeeper Oginga Birir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andoni Antunez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Reinaldo Cordoba's late challenge caught a sofapaka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reinaldo Cordoba helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, Peña Bufanda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Cordoba to maneuver through the defense. Kagai Oduor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aureliano Abancens having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andoni Antunez in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oginga Birir saved sofapaka from getting behind. When Peña Bufanda's Andoni Antunez in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye sofapaka's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Peña Bufanda's Claudio March got a free kick in the 65th minute. A collision led to sofapaka getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Kevin Nduro hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andoni Antunez in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oginga Birir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. David Pinches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliano Abancens having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Tipi Alarcon made a precise shot to the right of Oginga Birir. sofapaka's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. After a defensive mix-up in Peña Bufanda's zone, Kagai Oduor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aureliano Abancens came out of the goal and Kagai Oduor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Pinches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reinaldo Cordoba kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, sofapaka's Waruhiu Sitienei got a free kick in the 86th minute. Peña Bufanda's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pacorro Mayol in the 89th minute. The corner led to Peña Bufanda's Claudio Peña getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Claudio Peña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peña Bufanda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave sofapaka the free kick. In the 91st match minute, Peña Bufanda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Peña to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
