After a rather tough play, IFK Högalid's Edvin Lang got a free kick in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Edvin Lang notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Winnipeg Dogs's Aaron Peck. Aaron Peck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Niklas Gunnarsson's late challenge caught a Winnipeg Dogs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niklas Gunnarsson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to IFK Högalid getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Niklas Gunnarsson hit a great ball. Winnipeg Dogs's Aaron Peck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sören Kinnman in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Abel Montrelle could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Malte Björkdahl however easily saved by the left post. The IFK Högalid fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when IFK Högalid's Jonathan Svensson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 25th minute, Jonathan Svensson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IFK Högalid fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Aaron Peck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Kleen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aaron Peck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Kjellqvist in the 29th minute of play. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Jonathan Svensson sped through Winnipeg Dogs's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aaron Peck. Malte Björkdahl made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Mason Rutherford sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonathan Svensson to strike the kick off in the second half. Aaron Peck made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Robin Kleen sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Montrelle in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Malte Björkdahl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 87th minute, Cahir Palmer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Winnipeg Dogs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-6. Winnipeg Dogs made a substitution. Burl Stout replaced Christopher Rodrigues. IFK Högalid's Malte Björkdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cahir Palmer in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Niklas Gunnarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aaron Peck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathan Svensson went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-7 was the resulting score.

IFK Högalid's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
