After having played for 72 minutes, Clóvis Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Clóvis Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Ambrosio Gaskon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sune Rudberg. That made the score 5-1 in the 80 minute of play. With a little luck, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Sune Rudberg got control of the ball when Emanuel Bañuelos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 97th minute Clóvis Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Katia Villalobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
