After a rather tough play, Pueblito AFC's Efrain Cristofol got a free kick in the 2nd minute. If Bento Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Cristos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Prestes in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute Aprígio Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Cristos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Filipe Ventura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Cristos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Pueblito AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Aprígio Campos came free, but Aurelio Cristos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nestor Fernendo fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pueblito AFC's protests and gave Nestor Fernendo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of VB-Team booed when Pueblito AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Fernendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. VB-Team's Afonso Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Fernendo in the 22nd minute of play. Aurelio Cristos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Ventura in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Ventura in the 27th minute of play forced Pueblito AFC's goalkeeper Aurelio Cristos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Pueblito AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Nestor Fernendo hit a great ball. After 42 played minutes VB-Team got a freekick which was hit by Isac Palhares. Afonso Domingues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Aritza in the 44th minute. Ermegildo Donostia's late challenge caught a VB-Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermegildo Donostia helped the player get up and apologised. When Bento Prestes came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the VB-Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bento Prestes couldn't finish the play.

With a little luck, Pueblito AFC's Aurelio Cristos got control of the ball when Bento Prestes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Filipe Ventura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 54 minutes, Filipe Ventura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VB-Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Ventura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to VB-Team getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Flávio Eiró hit a great ball. Constantino Ursino kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Pueblito AFC's goalkeeper Aurelio Cristos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aprígio Campos. Rafael Matos charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Pueblito AFC's zone, Filipe Ventura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Cristos came out of the goal and Filipe Ventura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
