Silverio Cordearo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niceto Ihazintu's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 14th minute Niceto Ihazintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caatiba MZC were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after CA Quake's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gaby Milito took the corner. After 18 played minutes CA Quake got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Sadurni. After a defensive mix-up in CA Quake's zone, Niceto Ihazintu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silverio Cordearo came out of the goal and Niceto Ihazintu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Caatiba MZC's goalkeeper Ergo Muro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benicio Balasi. Gaby Milito kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres Ubelteso got free with Ergo Muro in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silverio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Ihazintu in the 26th minute of play. Silverio Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Ihazintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, CA Quake's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Ihazintu came free, but Silverio Cordearo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silverio Cordearo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Caatiba MZC booed when CA Quake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Aznaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silverio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguinho Linhares in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niceto Ihazintu to make the kick off. Silverio Cordearo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niceto Ihazintu went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Silverio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Ihazintu in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute Niceto Ihazintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Niceto Ihazintu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caatiba MZC's supporters rose to their feet, but Niceto Ihazintu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silverio Cordearo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute, Igor Jago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Caatiba MZC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
