Štefan Semeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Lebas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Štefan Semeno came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by KaoS Futbol Club's Igor Lebas. But to his dismay, Igor Lebas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Štefan Semeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lluis Companys in the 16th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Lluis Companys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Štefan Semeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narciso Noe made a great header on KaoS Futbol Club's corner, it was just that AFK Petržalka's Štefan Semeno managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to KaoS Futbol Club getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Amancio Semeno hit a great ball. Pierluigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomáš Požgaj in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Lebas in the 32nd minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Štefan Semeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFK Petržalka's Tomáš Požgaj got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Peter Pekarík came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the AFK Petržalka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Pekarík couldn't finish the play. Pierluigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balázs Borbély in the 43rd minute of play. Amancio Semeno's late challenge caught a AFK Petržalka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amancio Semeno helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, KaoS Futbol Club's Pierluigi Buffon got control of the ball when Tomáš Požgaj tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Žigmund Csontos made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomáš Požgaj in the 53rd minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amancio Semeno hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute Tomáš Požgaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AFK Petržalka's Štefan Semeno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save AFK Petržalka from getting a goal against them. The supporters of KaoS Futbol Club booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balázs Borbély didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Richard Zedník fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFK Petržalka's protests and gave Richard Zedník a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Richard Zedník hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Petrus to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of KaoS Futbol Club booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Petrus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Štefan Semeno made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Lluis Companys sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Lluis Companys reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Štefan Semeno. The goal made the score 0-2. AFK Petržalka made a substitution. Michal Hudák replaced Tomáš Požgaj. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Hudák in the 84th minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Štefan Semeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Noe in the 86th minute of play. With a little luck, AFK Petržalka's Štefan Semeno got control of the ball when Igor Lebas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by AFK Petržalka's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Narciso Noe was slow to take the kick. During this time KaoS Futbol Club's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AFK Petržalka's goalie and right to Noel Hargrave. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AFK Petržalka's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Štefan Semeno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Lebas in the 95th minute. The KaoS Futbol Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KaoS Futbol Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
