In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ross on Wye's goalkeeper Seth Lewington, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 5 minutes into the match, Dinamo St. Petersburg's goal looked a bit too open when Vince Flack came free, but Aleksandr Arnautov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aleksandr Arnautov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Crispin Hibbert in the 7th minute of the match. A collision led to Dinamo St. Petersburg getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Petr Shishkarev hit a great ball. In the 14th match minute, Dinamo St. Petersburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Artemev to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Vince Flack made a precise shot to the right of Aleksandr Arnautov. Dinamo St. Petersburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Valentin Tarasov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ross on Wye's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Valentin Tarasov scored to the left of an out of position Seth Lewington, making the score, 1-1. Seth Lewington stood somewhat misplaced when Daniil Malysh came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 28 minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ross on Wye's zone, Daniil Malysh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seth Lewington came out of the goal and Daniil Malysh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Dinamo St. Petersburg fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Dinamo St. Petersburg's Daniil Malysh looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 42nd minute Valentin Tarasov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seth Lewington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Dinamo St. Petersburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Veretennikov to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

A collision led to Ross on Wye getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Stu Dumpleton hit a great ball. A hard and well directed shot from Daniil Malysh led 51 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Ross on Wye's Seth Lewington became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 4-1. Seth Lewington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Tarasov in the 55th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniil Malysh in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Seth Lewington prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Seth Lewington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniil Malysh, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Seth Lewington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniil Malysh in the 68th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Dinamo St. Petersburg defense, Crispin Hibbert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aleksandr Arnautov. The Dinamo St. Petersburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aleksandr Arnautov should have stopped the shot. Seth Lewington didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniil Malysh went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 6-2 when Daniil Malysh sped through Ross on Wye's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Seth Lewington. With a little luck, Dinamo St. Petersburg's Aleksandr Arnautov got control of the ball when Crispin Hibbert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aleksandr Arnautov made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Vince Flack sent off a good shot on target. After 89 minutes of play, Ross on Wye's Crispin Hibbert made it 6-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aleksandr Arnautov was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Aleksandr Arnautov managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Ross on Wye's Crispin Hibbert fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 95th minute, Grigoriy Rusakov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dinamo St. Petersburg's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
