August Hoffmanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Raymond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Mesut Özil made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Selatse. Despidida AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 19thth minute of the game Alvaro Raymond who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Raymond in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck August Hoffmanns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Rot-Weiss-Essen defense, Alvaro Raymond kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of August Hoffmanns. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that August Hoffmanns should have stopped the shot. When Despidida AFC's Alvaro Raymond in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie prevented a goal. 52 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvaro Raymond. Despidida AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emanuel Lucila in the 53rd minute. The corner led Despidida AFC's Feliksas Fenichev to fire away a dangerous shot which August Hoffmanns despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Despidida AFC's Pastor Tino was substituted for Kajetan Gdowik. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Emiliano Velasco replaced Alvaro Raymond. With a little luck, Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns got control of the ball when Emiliano Velasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Despidida AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinu Ivănescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. August Hoffmanns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emiliano Velasco's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. If Emiliano Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Pastor Tino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Anestis Kotsopoulos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 3-3 when Maximilian Henning sped through Despidida AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fernando Selatse. Dinu Ivănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The corner led Despidida AFC's Emanuel Lucila to fire away a dangerous shot which August Hoffmanns despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A hard shot 95 in the game by Emiliano Velasco from a close distance when the talented August Hoffmanns managed to make a qualified save. Rot-Weiss-Essen's players were relieved. Emiliano Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without August Hoffmanns having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
