In the 5th minute of the match, Norbert Major got a very nice opportunity to score, but Petre Encuțescu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sebastião Xoxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivor Peake in the 11th minute of play. After 14 minutes, Wilfredo Lazcano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zecku and the Pogoń Szczecin players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pogoń Szczecin booed when Zecku was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Lazcano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pogoń Szczecin's Sebastião Xoxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivor Peake in the 17th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Norbert Major took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Petre Encuțescu to make any attempt to save it. 22 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Emīls Umbrass came free, but Sebastião Xoxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Zecku's Amadeo Pudes got a free kick in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norbert Major got free with Petre Encuțescu in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Norbert Major might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petre Encuțescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norbert Major ran back to his position shaking his head. Petre Encuțescu made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Norbert Major sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes into the game, Norbert Major cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Petre Encuțescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pogoń Szczecin's Sebastião Xoxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Rocks in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Petre Encuțescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Major in the 53rd minute of play. In the 57th minute, Norbert Major made a precise shot to the right of Petre Encuțescu. Zecku's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Pogoń Szczecin's zone, Emīls Umbrass stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Xoxe came out of the goal and Emīls Umbrass tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute Emīls Umbrass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Xoxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petre Encuțescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Major in the 64th minute of the match. With a little luck, Pogoń Szczecin's Sebastião Xoxe got control of the ball when Ivor Peake tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ivor Peake kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sebastião Xoxe. That made the score 4-1 in the 68 minute of play. Sebastião Xoxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emīls Umbrass, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pogoń Szczecin's Norbert Major in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zecku's goalie prevented a goal. In the 79th minute, Zecku's Emīls Umbrass ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sebastião Xoxe. Sebastião Xoxe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norbert Major in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petre Encuțescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the match, Norbert Major had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petre Encuțescu. Zecku's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norbert Major was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Sebastião Xoxe was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Ivor Peake capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ivor Peake really showed his touch with that goal: 5-3. Norbert Major's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petre Encuțescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Petre Encuțescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Norbert Major went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-3 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pogoń Szczecin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zecku had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
