In the 23rd minute of the match, Cleto Cordaro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ged Nightingale saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Arrows Academy FC's Ged Nightingale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Indiana Jones in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Grzegorz Piechna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Tino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club El Progreso's Washington Papa got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Grzegorz Piechna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 39 played minutes Arrows Academy FC got a freekick which was hit by Larry Ferrell. In the 40th minute Cleto Cordaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ged Nightingale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Bryan Barron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arrows Academy FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club El Progreso the free kick. A collision led to Arrows Academy FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Bryan Barron hit a great ball. In the 47th minute of the match, Cleto Cordaro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ged Nightingale was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 48th minute, Bryan Barron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Indiana Jones to make the kick off. Benjamin Tino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cleto Cordaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ged Nightingale having to interfere. Cleto Cordaro scored 1-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ged Nightingale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute, Adolfo Fidensio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guy Hogg, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Bot in the 76th minute of play forced Arrows Academy FC's goalkeeper Ged Nightingale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club El Progreso's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adolfo Fidensio in the 78th minute. After 78 played minutes Arrows Academy FC got a freekick which was hit by Larry Ferrell. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Indiana Jones in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ged Nightingale saved Arrows Academy FC from getting behind. 83 minutes into the match, Club El Progreso's goalkeeper Benjamin Tino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Larry Ferrell. Benjamin Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larry Ferrell in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to Club El Progreso getting a freekick after 96 minutes play.
