Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aytunç Tanberk in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. After 21 played minutes Baskaradi got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar Belanić. Tolga Togay was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When GALATASARAY's Aytunç Tanberk in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Gani Pektürk came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the GALATASARAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gani Pektürk couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hare Kadirović in the 34th minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Ahmet Boran Sinan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sudo Rača in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Boran Sinan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Muradif Ivanić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aytunç Tanberk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sudo Rača stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Muradif Ivanić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aytunç Tanberk, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the Baskaradi defense, Gani Pektürk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Muradif Ivanić. The Baskaradi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Muradif Ivanić should have stopped the shot. Gani Pektürk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60thth minute of the game Gani Pektürk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baskaradi's Muradif Ivanić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aytunç Tanberk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Muradif Ivanić having to interfere. Ifran Kalajić kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Muradif Ivanić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aytunç Tanberk in the 79th minute of play. Muradif Ivanić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aytunç Tanberk in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's Aytunç Tanberk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Muradif Ivanić narrowly saved just below the crossbar. GALATASARAY's Ahmet Boran Sinan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sudo Rača in the 88th minute of play. Aytunç Tanberk struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Muradif Ivanić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GALATASARAY. GALATASARAY's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
