If Karol Panasewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurino Serena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Panasewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurino Serena made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Karol Panasewicz sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karol Panasewicz. A hard shot 23 in the game by Karol Panasewicz from a close distance when the talented Maurino Serena managed to make a qualified save. A.D. Alcorcón's players were relieved. Maurino Serena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karol Panasewicz's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute Karol Panasewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurino Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karol Panasewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Afşar Uçuk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Mountain State's supporters rose to their feet, but Afşar Uçuk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurino Serena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute Esteban Vadillos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Sharma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Blue Mountain State's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nereo Acosta was slow to take the kick. During this time A.D. Alcorcón's players had a chance to rest. Nereo Acosta made a great header on A.D. Alcorcón's corner, it was just that Blue Mountain State's Robin Sharma managed to reach the ball for a save. A.D. Alcorcón were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Blue Mountain State's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nereo Acosta took the corner. Nereo Acosta made a great header on A.D. Alcorcón's corner, it was just that Blue Mountain State's Robin Sharma managed to reach the ball for a save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Karol Panasewicz made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Karol Panasewicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maurino Serena. A.D. Alcorcón's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karol Panasewicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 54 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Panasewicz came free, but Maurino Serena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Panasewicz in the 55th minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Blue Mountain State's Gökcan Bergin to fire away a dangerous shot which Maurino Serena despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Maurino Serena came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Blue Mountain State's Luis Vázquez. But to his dismay, Luis Vázquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Lionel-Andrés Messi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurino Serena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Blue Mountain State were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after A.D. Alcorcón's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Afşar Uçuk took the corner. In the 88th minute Luis Vázquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurino Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Lionel-Andrés Messi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Maurino Serena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Blue Mountain State walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
