Fred Lara started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Abandon All Hope booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Precioso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 9 played minutes Abandon All Hope got a freekick which was hit by Jan Pająk. Meng Yan Jing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakub Waselenczuk in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Ye Hong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but La Para saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Abandon All Hope's Ye Hong in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Lugano's goalie prevented a goal. In the 25th match minute, Abandon All Hope was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jiang Sang Qing to maneuver through the defense. Meng Yan Jing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Saunders in the 27th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Abandon All Hope's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Saunders came free, but Meng Yan Jing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, FC Lugano's Jack Saunders dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a little luck, Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing got control of the ball when Fred Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wincenty Kochowski in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, FC Lugano's Cui Cheng Liang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Meng Yan Jing made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when Abandon All Hope was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Dunajski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Meng Yan Jing made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fred Lara in the 47th minute. After a rather tough play, Abandon All Hope's Yao Xiang Zheng got a free kick in the 47th minute. Meng Yan Jing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cui Cheng Liang in the 49th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emil Dunajski was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Fred Lara made a precise shot to the right of Meng Yan Jing. Abandon All Hope's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. FC Lugano's Nereo Precioso got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute Emil Dunajski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but La Para saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abandon All Hope were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after FC Lugano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jiang Sang Qing took the corner. Roland Schiavi hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Abandon All Hope's Roland Schiavi got a free kick in the 69th minute. With a little luck, FC Lugano's La Para got control of the ball when Ye Hong tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ye Hong got free with La Para in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cui Cheng Liang in the 73rd minute of play forced Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Meng Yan Jing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes Abandon All Hope's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zhao Le Sen who took care of the corner kick. After 84 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Jack Saunders. In the 94th minute Jack Saunders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meng Yan Jing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yusuf Ziya Cerit was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 97 minutes into the match. After 97 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Yusuf Ziya Cerit.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Lugano fully deserved thier win.
