Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luciano Pirro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cornelio Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Dolar in the 5th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Dale Dolar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcellos Mineiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dale Dolar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Cordearo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Dolar came free, but Cornelio Cordearo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Pirro in the 16th minute of play. Patricio Ugutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Pirro in the 17th minute of play. Eliézer de Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Patricio Ugutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Pirro in the 24th minute of play. Patricio Ugutz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Pirro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Racing Club were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Barcellos Mineiro FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Miroslaw Jajecznica took the corner. The corner led Racing Club's Ramiro Lano to fire away a dangerous shot which Patricio Ugutz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Olavi Vilo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Cordearo having to make a save. 33 minutes into the match, Racing Club's Luciano Pirro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patricio Ugutz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Patricio Ugutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Pirro in the 37th minute of play. After some careless play in the Racing Club defense, Dale Dolar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cornelio Cordearo. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cornelio Cordearo should have stopped the shot. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barcellos Mineiro FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Miroslaw Jajecznica was slow to take the kick. During this time Racing Club's players had a chance to rest. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Luciano Pirro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Barcellos Mineiro FC from getting a goal against them. Luciano Pirro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, Racing Club's Patricio Ugutz threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luciano Pirro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luciano Pirro took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patricio Ugutz. Patricio Ugutz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 70 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dale Dolar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Cordearo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74th minute Dale Dolar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Nevada struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Patricio Ugutz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Celsinho Corrêa was substituted for Olavi Vilo. Homer Field kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Homer Field to maneuver through the defense. After 81 minutes Racing Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Radul Kokalov who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Feng Xiang Yun managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Cornelio Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Carrascal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Ugutz made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Epifanio Txomin sent off a good shot on target. Cornelio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Corrêa in the 90th minute of play. Patricio Ugutz was a little too slow when Homer Field got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 1-4. The Racing Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Racing Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
