The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After taking down the ball on PLUMIN's corner Delmiro Mel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Victoriano Bernaldo quite easily take care of the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Delmiro Mel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victoriano Bernaldo. Delmiro Mel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Santo Libertad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Delmiro Mel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoriano Bernaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Salvino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PLUMIN were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Dep Colonia Avellaneda's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Delmiro Mel took the corner. PLUMIN's Delmiro Mel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Victoriano Bernaldo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Santo Libertad struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Rodrigo Massó didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dep Colonia Avellaneda. Victoriano Bernaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Salvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Santo Libertad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Rodrigo Massó tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Ferrer. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Darryl Buckner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Massó read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Victoriano Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Mel in the 53rd minute of the match. Darryl Buckner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute Darryl Buckner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Massó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Florencio Carlomagno almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PLUMIN's Rodrigo Massó did a great save. 64 minutes into the match, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Eguzki came free, but Victoriano Bernaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Dep Colonia Avellaneda booed when PLUMIN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Ayala didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Salvino in the 91st minute of play forced Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute of the match Wei Li sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodrigo Massó skillfully saved the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dep Colonia Avellaneda players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for PLUMIN.
