The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Duarte Mineiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Guaberto Gasteiz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hélio Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Duarte Mineiro's late challenge caught a Rossobianco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duarte Mineiro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to COURO COME FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Duarte Mineiro hit a great ball. Fidel Camerino's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but José Maria Pontes firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 23rd minute Duarte Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Gasteiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The tension between the Rossobianco and the COURO COME FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rossobianco's Fernan Eli got a free kick in the 48th minute. When Duarte Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the COURO COME FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duarte Mineiro couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

After 53 minutes, Zé Carlos de Queiroz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the COURO COME FC and the Rossobianco players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zé Carlos de Queiroz hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 55th match minute, COURO COME FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fernando Severo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Guaberto Gasteiz made a huge save. In the 60th minute of the match COURO COME FC got a corner. Rossobianco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Walmir Vale ran over to the corner to take the kick. Anastasio Teyo took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Maria Pontes. José Maria Pontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Guaberto Gasteiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Christian Botelho took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guaberto Gasteiz. Guaberto Gasteiz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. COURO COME FC's Leandro de Carvalho was substituted for Zé Carlos de Queiroz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nunez Endira in the 74th minute of play forced COURO COME FC's goalkeeper José Maria Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Maria Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Teyo in the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Nunez Endira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of COURO COME FC booed when Rossobianco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Gorri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Guaberto Gasteiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Maria Pontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fidel Camerino's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. When Rossobianco's Fidel Camerino in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye COURO COME FC's goalie prevented a goal.
