The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdemar Kuoppala got free with Jose Vimaro in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eero Uusipaavalniemi in the 64th minute of play forced La Maquina 9-12-18's goalkeeper Jose Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute Taisto Pentsinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Vimaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmelo Vachon in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edwin van der Sar saved Manchester United FC from getting behind. Dario Gelacio hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. With a little luck, La Maquina 9-12-18's Jose Vimaro got control of the ball when Valdemar Kuoppala tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jose Vimaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taisto Pentsinen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manchester United FC played a much better game than La Maquina 9-12-18 and deserved their victory. The La Maquina 9-12-18 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
