Doriva Tavares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but David Seaman made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Junior in the 12th minute of play forced Capivara FC's goalkeeper Péter Pálffy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Seaman came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Capivara FC's Vinícius Junior. But to his dismay, Vinícius Junior quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to Capivara FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ragnar Stigsson hit a great ball. Péter Pálffy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinícius Junior in the 31st minute of play. Doriva Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, David Seaman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neycho Mudrov made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Capivara FC's Doriva Tavares got a free kick in the 56th minute. David Seaman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doriva Tavares went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neycho Mudrov in the 68th minute of play. Capivara FC's Péter Pálffy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Capivara FC from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Doriva Tavares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Seaman was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Tavares in the 79th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute of the match Capivara FC got a corner. Jenipapo SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Francisco Mota ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Capivara FC's corner João Francisco Mota fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and David Seaman quite easily take care of the ball. In the 89th minute João Francisco Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Seaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aníbal Alagoanos short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Péter Pálffy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 93 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Mota came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neycho Mudrov in the 94th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Capivara FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Jenipapo SC for a fine match.
