Martin Rito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven De Keuster in the 9th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ybarlucea F.C.'s Florentino Eutor got control of the ball when Gustavo Eladio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute of the match C. A. BELGRANO got a corner. Ybarlucea F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gustavo Eladio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led C. A. BELGRANO's Silvio Valerio to fire away a dangerous shot which Florentino Eutor despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Ybarlucea F.C.'s goalkeeper Florentino Eutor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Eladio. In the 19th minute, C. A. BELGRANO's Gustavo Eladio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Florentino Eutor. Florentino Eutor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 21 minutes into the match, C. A. BELGRANO's Gustavo Eladio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florentino Eutor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Steven De Keuster struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Martin Rito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ybarlucea F.C.. If Gustavo Eladio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Florentino Eutor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Eladio in the 30th minute. Gustavo Eladio made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 36thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Florentino Eutor would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Gustavo Eladio might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florentino Eutor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Eladio ran back to his position shaking his head. After 45 played minutes C. A. BELGRANO got a freekick which was hit by Washington Santos. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Steven De Keuster made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre-Henri Dazin in the 52nd minute of play forced C. A. BELGRANO's goalkeeper Martin Rito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Gustavo Eladio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
