The audience was convinced that Miguel Ángel Benito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isidoro Rio was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. A well-hit corner resulted in Wang Di Yi heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 28 minutes into the match, Cascadia United's goal looked a bit too open when Bert Homøe came free, but Leonel Rocco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 minutes Cascadia United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bello Cura who took care of the corner kick. Isidoro Rio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Ángel Benito's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. When Bello Cura came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Argentinean Patriots 1816 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bello Cura couldn't finish the play. Cascadia United's Leonel Rocco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben-Ami Ranchin in the 43rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Cascadia United defense, Ben-Ami Ranchin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonel Rocco. The Cascadia United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonel Rocco should have stopped the shot. After the first half Argentinean Patriots 1816 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cascadia United's Constantino Neto was substituted for Abel Neron. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Ángel Benito to make the kick off. Leonel Rocco made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Ben-Ami Ranchin sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute of the match, Ben-Ami Ranchin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leonel Rocco was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Miguel Ángel Benito might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidoro Rio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonel Rocco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben-Ami Ranchin in the 64th minute of the match. When Ben-Ami Ranchin got free in front of the goal in the 65th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Leonel Rocco was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Ben-Ami Ranchin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Argentinean Patriots 1816 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Argentinean Patriots 1816 made a substitution. The Argentinean Patriots 1816 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
