Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 4th minute, Maximino Gonzalez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palermo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Arnoldo Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santiago Mino hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Palermo's Angelo Resto threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximino Gonzalez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Maximino Gonzalez had several of the Atlas FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Angelo Resto as he didn't even see the shot coming. Angelo Resto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Mino in the 28th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Mino got free with Angelo Resto in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelo Resto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Arne Olsson in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Palermo's Santiago Mino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angelo Resto. Angelo Resto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Anibal Cilio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Victorino Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Arnoldo Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Resto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Goiz hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Arnoldo Medina took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelo Resto. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santiago Mino made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Palermo's Arnoldo Medina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Resto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 55 minutes into the match, Maximino Gonzalez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Resto. Atlas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximino Gonzalez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Atlas FC's Angelo Resto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Gonzalez in the 59th minute of play. Santiago Mino took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelo Resto. Angelo Resto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. 65 minutes into the match, Atlas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Mino came free, but Angelo Resto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Maximino Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Resto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Resto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Gonzalez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Mino in the 69th minute of play forced Atlas FC's goalkeeper Angelo Resto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Atlas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Resto should have stopped the shot. Maximino Gonzalez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Resto having to interfere. Palermo's Patryk Wiater was substituted for Marcelino Chaime. Palermo made a substitution. Jhonny Del Fierro replaced Santiago Mino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jhonny Del Fierro in the 83rd minute of play forced Atlas FC's goalkeeper Angelo Resto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jhonny Del Fierro spun around in front of the goal 83 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Atlas FC's goal. 85 minutes into the match, Atlas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Medina came free, but Angelo Resto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Cilio in the 94th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Victorino Francis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Palermo fully deserved thier win.
