Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) AC Rangers's Clodoveo Neto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, AC Rangers's goalkeeper Osvaldo Leobardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Mino. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Maximino Gonzalez got a free kick in the 4th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santiago Mino in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osvaldo Leobardo saved AC Rangers from getting behind. In the 8th minute of the match Palermo got a corner. AC Rangers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Saul Felo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Osvaldo Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Chaime, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Aznaro came free, but Alfredo Joey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Emiliano Aznaro put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alfredo Joey. Emiliano Aznaro scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredo Joey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Osvaldo Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Medina in the 19th minute of play forced AC Rangers's goalkeeper Osvaldo Leobardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Palermo's Osvaldo Leobardo threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arnoldo Medina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Palermo's Santiago Mino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Osvaldo Leobardo. That made the score 1-2 after 22 minutes of play. In the 26th minute, Tihomir Leustek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Mino in the 27th minute of play forced AC Rangers's goalkeeper Osvaldo Leobardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th play minute Santiago Mino came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Osvaldo Leobardo. 2-2. Osvaldo Leobardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnoldo Medina's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 33 minutes, Arnoldo Medina made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. AC Rangers's Osvaldo Leobardo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Osvaldo Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Chaime, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Palermo's Alfredo Joey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Aznaro in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Ciro Guifre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

AC Rangers made a substitution. Amancio Inocente replaced Emiliano Aznaro. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnoldo Medina to make the kick off. Arnoldo Medina took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldo Leobardo. Osvaldo Leobardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. The supporters of Palermo booed when AC Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Crispin Grassow didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelino Chaime received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Osvaldo Leobardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Leobardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Mino in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Crispin Grassow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 72 minutes, Santiago Mino made it 5-2 with a short kick to the right side. AC Rangers's Osvaldo Leobardo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnoldo Medina scored 6-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldo Leobardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vicente Sal scored 6-3 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredo Joey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 91 minutes of play, Palermo's Santiago Mino made it 7-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvaldo Leobardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Santiago Mino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, AC Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Gonzalez came free, but Osvaldo Leobardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Palermo had won after a very even match.
