But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Ángel Benito couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Cascadia United's Leonel Rocco got control of the ball when Lisandro Nuñez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lisandro Nuñez got free with Leonel Rocco in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cascadia United's goalkeeper Leonel Rocco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Cascadia United's Leonel Rocco got control of the ball when Lisandro Nuñez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lisandro Nuñezs short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Leonel Rocco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A throw-in in the 47th minute of the game was made by Baltasar Piorno with Wang Di Yi as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lisandro Nuñez to make the kick off. Wang Di Yi kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Cascadia United's Wang Di Yi got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Lv Tian Yuan in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cascadia United's Tamás Lovas. After 80 played minutes Cascadia United got a freekick which was hit by Tamás Lovas. Cascadia United's attentive Tamás Lovas managed to snatch the ball when Lv Tian Yuan made a throw-in in the 84th minute of the game. Miguel Ángel Benito's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dario Astigar firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cascadia United's Miguel Ángel Benito was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 93rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 97thth minute of the game Ciriaco Cordarrell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cascadia United's Leonel Rocco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Cascadia United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cascadia United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
