Atlético Rio Cuarto's Bernardino Dimas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Rio Cuarto from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute Ben-Ami Ranchin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardino Dimas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Montel's late challenge caught a Argentinean Patriots 1816's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santos Montel helped the player get up and apologised. Isidoro Rio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Montel in the 36th minute of play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardino Dimas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute, Ben-Ami Ranchin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardino Dimas was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When Bello Cura came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Argentinean Patriots 1816 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bello Cura couldn't finish the play.
