Maximiliano Richie was slow to take the kick. During this time Atletico Atlas FC's players had a chance to rest. When Alberto Olmedo came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Ybarlucea F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Olmedo couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Markus Berg made a kick off. Steven De Keuster hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Florentino Eutor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Cilio in the 54th minute of play. After some careless play in the Atletico Atlas FC defense, Alberto Olmedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Resto. The Atletico Atlas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Resto should have stopped the shot. 63 minutes into the game, Fabio Goiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Atlas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ybarlucea F.C. the free kick. After a rather tough play, Atletico Atlas FC's Fabio Goiz got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Pierre-Henri Dazin made a great header on Ybarlucea F.C.'s corner, it was just that Atletico Atlas FC's Angelo Resto managed to reach the ball for a save. Igor Anaya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Florentino Eutor made a huge save. 77 minutes into the match, Ybarlucea F.C.'s goalkeeper Florentino Eutor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hector Aurre. Ybarlucea F.C. made a substitution. Fernando Eutor replaced Markus Berg. Angelo Resto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Eutor in the 87th minute of the match. Ybarlucea F.C.'s Florentino Eutor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Cilio in the 88th minute of play. If Igor Anaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atletico Atlas FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ybarlucea F.C. had won, even though Atletico Atlas FC had held more of the ball.
