Spectators: 7918 (Terracing: 5940, Seating: 1821, VIP seats: 157) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gerrie Kuijsten kicked off to start the match. After 2 played minutes Winthont FC got a freekick which was hit by Filip Smit. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacob Adams during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Winthont FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jacob Adams hit a great ball. In the 13th minute Gerrie Kuijsten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fokke Bergman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kurt Neijsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute Fokke Henselmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serge Buring saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eelco Neijsen got free with Serge Buring in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the match, Mathijs Looze had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fokke Bergman. Winthont FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathijs Looze was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Mathijs Looze hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 24 played minutes Winthont FC got a freekick which was hit by Niels Schirring. After 25 played minutes Winthont FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Adams. Winthont FC were furious when Filip Smit was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Filip Smit hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Marcus Zaagman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ágætis Byrjun's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Zaagman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fokke Bergman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boukjan Schalkwijk kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Bertus Wagemakers. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niels Schirring stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Niels Schirring received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Serge Buring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Niels Schirring came free, but Serge Buring reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ágætis Byrjun's Mathijs Looze got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurice Haydon had several of the Winthont FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 75 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Fokke Bergman as he didn't even see the shot coming.

The Winthont FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ágætis Byrjun's performance. The match ended with a win for Ágætis Byrjun.
