After some careless play in the U21 France defense, Marius Girardeau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felix Poggi. The U21 France fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felix Poggi should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Léon Cailleaux's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moïse Girerd was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, U21 France's goal looked a bit too open when Kevan Brossier came free, but Felix Poggi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moïse Girerd didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pierre Le Saint went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 49th minute U21 France were awarded a corner. Arnaud Clément went to the cornerflag to take it. U21 France's Arnaud Clément was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Moïse Girerd in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 49th minute, Gustave Marcilly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evan Le Moullec to make the kick off. The supporters of U21 France booed when Chaponnay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, U21 France's Arnaud Clément broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 59 minutes into the match, Chaponnay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaud Clément came free, but Moïse Girerd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Chaponnay FC defense, Momo Boumedienne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Moïse Girerd. The Chaponnay FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moïse Girerd should have stopped the shot. U21 France's Alain Dennemont was substituted for Arnaud Clément. U21 France's Noël Dominique was substituted for Pierre Le Saint. U21 France's Jean-Marc Kazmierczak was substituted for Léon Cailleaux. In the 73rd match minute, Chaponnay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andreu to maneuver through the defense. Luis Andreu kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Moïse Girerd came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 France's Jean-Marc Kazmierczak. But to his dismay, Jean-Marc Kazmierczak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chaponnay FC's goalkeeper Moïse Girerd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Moïse Girerd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Marc Kazmierczak in the 81st minute of the match. Chaponnay FC's Moïse Girerd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Marc Kazmierczak in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chaponnay FC's Luis Andreu got a free kick in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Chaponnay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Marc Kazmierczak came free, but Moïse Girerd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andreu kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 7-1 when Jean-Marc Kazmierczak sped through Chaponnay FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Moïse Girerd. Moïse Girerd didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jean-Marc Kazmierczak went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. U21 France's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
