The supporters of Ruquense FC booed when AF CERRADO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Róbson Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murilo Lucas struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. François-Xavier Dionnet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AF CERRADO. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg François-Xavier Dionnet saved Ruquense FC from getting behind. Remigio Quirze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Pedro Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute Basilio Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruquense FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Pombal ran over to the corner to take the kick. François-Xavier Dionnet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Paulista in the 61st minute of the match. AF CERRADO's Marcos Paulista got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 66 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Hermes. AF CERRADO's Dennis Contaldi was substituted for Róbson Bittencourt. AF CERRADO's Felix Smits was substituted for Carlos Alberto Jacinto. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Nestor Hermes hit a great ball.
