The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 18th minute Woody Finney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piers Harris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Fenerbahce1907's Piers Harris got control of the ball when Ed Bradshaw tried to sneak it across the goal line. Domenic Edmondson hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Piers Harris made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Ed Bradshaw sent off a good shot on target. Bryan Bloom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidelio Fricke in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to Fenerbahce1907 getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Dávid Alaba hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Sells FC's Bryan Bloom got control of the ball when Wigalf Hofmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th minute, Wigalf Hofmann made a precise shot to the right of Bryan Bloom. Sells FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The long shot by Marcin Ludwiczak in the 64th minute really tested Bryan Bloom's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Wigalf Hofmann fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fenerbahce1907's protests and gave Wigalf Hofmann a yellow card for diving instead. Wigalf Hofmann kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. If Wigalf Hofmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bryan Bloom made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Wigalf Hofmann sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Sells FC booed when Fenerbahce1907 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcin Ludwiczak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piers Harris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wallace Bell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Fenerbahce1907 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fenerbahce1907 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
