After 20 played minutes Sells FC's Ed Bradshaw stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Loid Gijsbrechts stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Frankfurt 1976 of the goal. Wallace Fields recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 29 minutes, Barlas Talik made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Sells FC's Bryan Bloom tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. But to his dismay, Ernesto Leon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. If Ernesto Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 41 minutes into the game, when Lenny Pate put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Sells FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Frankfurt 1976:s goal. The referee gave Frankfurt 1976 a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Benito Guerrero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sells FC's Bryan Bloom. 0-4. Bryan Bloom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Vordenbäumen in the 46th minute of the match. Loid Gijsbrechts made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Ed Bradshaw sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Frankfurt 1976 were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ed Bradshaw stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Loid Gijsbrechts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ed Bradshaw, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the game, Wallace Bell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sells FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Frankfurt 1976 the free kick. After 55 played minutes Sells FC got a freekick which was hit by Wallace Bell. After a rather tough play, Frankfurt 1976's Benito Guerrero got a free kick in the 56th minute. Barlas Talik scored 0-5 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bryan Bloom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the game, Ernesto Leon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Bryan Bloom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Frankfurt 1976 booed when Sells FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ed Bradshaw didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domenic Edmondson hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Bryan Bloom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barlas Talik went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Barlas Talik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bryan Bloom having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Ernesto Leon took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Bryan Bloom to make any attempt to save it. Frankfurt 1976 made a substitution. Luis Dean replaced Bittor Hernandez. Aloisio Solo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryan Bloom having to interfere. After 83 minutes, Woody Finney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sells FC and the Frankfurt 1976 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Woody Finney kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Ed Bradshaw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loid Gijsbrechts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ed Bradshaw took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Loid Gijsbrechts. Loid Gijsbrechts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. Ed Bradshaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Frankfurt 1976's Loid Gijsbrechts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ed Bradshaw in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95thth minute of the game Aloisio Solo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sells FC's Bryan Bloom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Sells FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Frankfurt 1976 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
