Bento Chandeiro took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mădălin Lunca. Mădălin Lunca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Romania's attentive Remus Pincharoen managed to snatch the ball when Harry McGuire made a throw-in in the 5th minute of the game. 8 minutes into the match, Stelian Murgu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dani Hernández. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stelian Murgu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Venezuela's Dani Hernández played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stelian Murgu in the 10th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Romania's Ciprian Toma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dani Hernández narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th minute Romania were awarded a corner. Gigi Joanță went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Romania's corner Gigi Joanță fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dani Hernández quite easily take care of the ball. Ciprian Toma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dani Hernández read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After 19th play minutes Ciprian Toma shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Dani Hernández and just under the crossbar into goal. Remus Pincharoen made in the 24th minute of the game a quick throw-in and David Brătescu immediately put the ball in play. Dani Hernández showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciprian Toma in the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bento Chandeiro got free with Mădălin Lunca in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciprian Toma scored 1-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dani Hernández, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Harry McGuire in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Romania's Remus Pincharoen. Ciprian Toma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dani Hernández read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fernando Arango in the 45th minute. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Fernando Arango fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mădălin Lunca quite easily take care of the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ciprian Toma came free, but Dani Hernández reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romania made a substitution. Grigore Dărăscu replaced Ştefan Iovan. Romania's Gigi Joanță was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dani Hernández in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Venezuela players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Romania were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ciprian Toma made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Ciprian Toma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dani Hernández was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Dani Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciprian Toma, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gigi Joanță was slow to take the kick. During this time Romania's players had a chance to rest. Romania's Gigi Joanță was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dani Hernández in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 64 minutes into the match, Ciprian Toma notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Venezuela's Dani Hernández. Dani Hernández was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dani Hernández came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Romania's Ciprian Toma. But to his dismay, Ciprian Toma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Romania's Suleiman Süleyman was substituted for Ciprian Toma. Venezuela made a substitution. Fero Rovires replaced Bento Chandeiro. Mădălin Lunca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fero Rovires in the 76th minute of the match. Suleiman Süleyman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dani Hernández read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Suleiman Süleyman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Romania fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. In the 94th minute, Fero Rovires made a precise shot to the right of Mădălin Lunca. Romania's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-6. The Romania players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
