Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Yoppie Duaramuri took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's goal looked a bit too open when Yoppie Duaramuri came free, but Ray Clemence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Frederico Hendrickx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hatta Arnawa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lilcho Ilchov in the 19th minute of play. Frederico Hendrickx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 23 played minutes Bandung Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Markus Husodo. Bandung Tigers's Hatta Arnawa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Hendrickx in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yoppie Duaramuri in the 26th minute of play forced PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Kiki Murtopo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ray Clemence quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Yoppie Duaramuris short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Ray Clemence to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ray Clemence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yoppie Duaramuri in the 37th minute of play. If Frederico Hendrickx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sun Chao Mo's late challenge caught a Bandung Tigers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sun Chao Mo helped the player get up and apologised. If Frederico Hendrickx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frederico Hendrickx was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute Yoppie Duaramuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Clemence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Jem Butt in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by PHOENIX SC's Sun Chao Mo. After having played for 61 minutes, Frederico Hendrickx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PHOENIX SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederico Hendrickx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Hendrickx in the 66th minute of play forced Bandung Tigers's goalkeeper Hatta Arnawa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederico Hendrickx in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hatta Arnawa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 68 minutes, Frederico Hendrickx made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Bandung Tigers's Hatta Arnawa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Frederico Hendrickx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Bandung Tigers were awarded a corner. Kiki Murtopo went to the cornerflag to take it. Kiki Murtopo made a great header on Bandung Tigers's corner, it was just that PHOENIX SC's Ray Clemence managed to reach the ball for a save. 88 minutes into the match, Bandung Tigers's Yoppie Duaramuri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ray Clemence narrowly saved just below the crossbar. PHOENIX SC played a much better game than Bandung Tigers and deserved their victory. The Bandung Tigers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
